The Burnham-Moores Center recently welcomed MSRE alumnae for the inaugural MSRE Women's Alumnae Gathering, a morning dedicated to strengthening connections, fostering mentorship, and celebrating the growing community of women shaping the commercial real estate industry.

The gathering brought together graduates representing multiple MSRE cohorts and career stages, with an impressive 71% attendance rate. More importantly, it marked the beginning of a long-term initiative focused on building stronger relationships that extend well beyond graduation.

The vision for the gathering was to create a space where women can remain connected to the University of San Diego and Burnham-Moores Center, support one another throughout their careers, mentor future leaders, and serve as visible role models for current and prospective students. The roundtable conversation centered on the power of relationships, finding confidence as women in commercial real estate, and creating opportunities for those who follow.

The success of the event was made possible through the collaborative leadership of Elise Caster ’11 MSRE, and Catherine Northcutt, MSRE program and industry engagement manager, who worked together over several months to bring the vision to life. Their thoughtful planning created an atmosphere where authentic conversations flourished and new connections were formed.

As discussions unfold, one message is clear: this is more than a networking group. It is the beginning of a community committed to lifting one another, sharing knowledge, opening doors, and increasing the visibility of women across the commercial real estate industry. Participants expressed enthusiasm for continuing to gather, mentoring, and creating intentional pathways for future MSRE graduates to thrive.

The Burnham-Moores Center is grateful to every alumna who participated and looks forward to continuing the conversations in the months ahead. Together, this growing network will strengthen the MSRE alumni community while helping inspire and support the next generation of commercial real estate leaders.
