Greek Fest Kicks Off a New Tradition for USD Real Estate Alumni
In August, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate (BMC) hosted more than 50 undergraduate and MSRE alumni for a Greek Fest-themed evening at the home of BMC Executive Director Stath Karras. The casual gathering gave alumni an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends while meeting other BMC graduates from different years and programs.

The Greek Fest theme came to life with blue and white décor, Greek flags flying throughout the property and a selection of delicious Greek food and wine. Alumni enjoyed a relaxed evening of catching up, sharing stories from their time at the University of San Diego (USD) and learning more about what fellow alumni have been doing in the industry since graduation.
The event brought together alumni from across several decades, creating a lively mix of generations and experiences within the BMC community. For some, the evening was a chance to reconnect with classmates and friends they had not seen in years; for others, it was an opportunity to meet fellow alumni they had never crossed paths with at USD. The relaxed setting also gave guests a chance to exchange stories, hear about different career paths and catch up on what fellow graduates have been doing in the real estate industry.
The Greek Fest was the first event of this kind hosted by BMC, and plans are underway to make it an annual tradition. Each year will feature a different cuisine and theme, giving alumni a new experience to look forward to. The goal is to continue creating opportunities for BMC alumni to reconnect with old friends, meet fellow graduates and stay connected to USD long after graduation.
